Adult Driver Education Program Description
Having a driver’s license is nearly a necessity to get to work, school, and to go shopping.
ROAD-READY helps adult students become confident, safe, and courteous drivers.
Every adult student without a Nebraska drivers license must complete a required Traditional or Online Classroom before beginning the driving portion of the program.
Traditional Classroom
6 hours of classroom
100% Classroom attendance is required
If the student does not understand fluent English, they must provide a translator
Online Classroom
8 hour program completed at the student’s pace
90 days to complete the program
In-Vehicle Lessons
All students come into the program with varying levels of driving experience, so we offer three programs.
Basic Program - student with 50 hours of driving experience at home.
Better Start Program - student with little driving experience but can practice at home.
Solid Start Program - student with little driving experience and no ability to practice.
Our drive routes are intentionally designed to progressively move students through critical stages of learning to become safe and courteous drivers. Additional lessons may be needed to complete all the stages required to take the driving test.
In-Vehicle lessons typically take 4-5 weeks to complete and will take place at our school.
Driving appointments must be rescheduled or canceled one business day (Monday-Friday during business hours) before the scheduled appointment date.
Driving appointment failures or late cancellations will be assessed a $30 fee.
