A generous donation from the Lincoln Public Schools Foundation and the Lancaster County Community Corrections Department will allow ROAD-READY to offer scholarships that will cover the entire cost of a basic driver's education class to qualifying students.

Requirements before registering for class:

1.      Attend a Lincoln Public School & show high school ID

2.      At least 15 years old

3.      Have a valid Nebraska Learners Permit

4.      Show LPS Free/Reduced Lunch letter

5.      Submit a few paragraphs thank you letter (200-word minimum) from the student to the LPS Foundation, describing how the program will be beneficial to their future. Letters generated using AI will result in disqualification from the scholarship.

Qualifying students must have all five (5) requirements finished and register in person at ROAD-READY Driver Training school during normal business hours.

Scholarship students cannot register online or change registration to a scholarship after initial registration.

The number of scholarships available is limited to the amount established by the LPS Foundation.
